You’re going to hear Katy Perry roar this summer when she kicks off her new tour, the first behind her latest album Prism.
The 46-city trek kicks off on June 22 in Raleigh, North Carolina, making stops along the way in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, New Orleans and Houston, TX.
Perry announced the tour this afternoon (Jan. 15) with a short clip featuring a few of her North American fans explaining why the “California Gurl” singer needs to come to their city.
“THE PRISMATIC WORLD TOUR is coming to light up some of my favorite North American cities this summer, as well as some new cities that you introduced me to through your video requests,” Katy said in a statement.
Openers for the 4-month trek include Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves and Tegan and Sara. Perry previously performed with Musgraves and Tegan and Sara at last year’s We Can Survive benefit concert, thrown by Radio.com and our L.A. station AMP Radio 97.1 to raise money for the Young Survival Coalition, an organization supporting young women battling breast cancer.
